Job Description

Senior Project Manager role: 
 
FJA are working with a national leader in the Water Industry who are looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager.
 
Ideal candidate to have experience in working in the utilities sector on gas or oil pipelines with a civils background. Extensive CDM Regulations 2015 knowledge essential as Principal Designer and/or Principal Contractor. 
 
This role is covering sites in the East Midlands Region.

Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Arranging and co-ordinating Temporary Works Designs
  • Conducting risk assessments and writing/approving method statements
  • Making sure that all the aims of the project are met.
  • Making sure quality standards are maintained.
  • Sourcing works & developing relationships with new & existing clients.
  • Agreeing project aims and goals with the client.
  • Representing the client’s and/or organisation’s interests
  • Providing advice on the management of projects
  • Submit commercial & technical tenders in conjunction with framework rates and NEC4 contracts.
  • Financial management with applications, compensation events, variations, purchase order uplifts & payments.
  • Assist Managing Director with improving business sustainability goals and objectives.
  • Monitor & investigate vehicle damages/ neglect.
  • Conduct safety presentations to site personnel with EA Operations Director.
  • Enhance EM safety standards to provide consistency between departments.
  • Establish & deliver achievable EM H&S/ Quality KPI’s

 
Essential Requirements of the Senior Project Manager: 

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction, commercial, or engineering related discipline.
  • Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent
  • Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to work in close partnership with clients, stakeholders, and end users.
  • Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives.
  • Experience in project delivery
  • Strategic, operational, technical and management skills
  • Knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE, with ability to negotiate and administer
  • Ability to present at MWHT Governance Reviews in a leading capacity
  • Risk & Opportunity Management experience
  • Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety
