Finlay Jude Associates are looking to recruit a Laboratory Technician for a well-established company Benefits in the role of a Laboratory Technician:

Laboratory Technician responsibilities:
  

  • Testing of internally produced rubber compounds for hardness, specific gravity, plasticity and colour checks to customer specifications
  • Use of the appropriate laboratory equipment to test compounds
  • Clearly and accurately recording test results for tested compounds using internal Q.C systems in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with the company quality management system, site health and safety and environmental as set out by company guidelines, policies and regulations
  • Communication of passed or failed compounds to the relevant departments/people in a timely manner
  • Issue of remilling instructions for failed compounds under the supervision of Rubber Technologists
  • Small scale production of customer ordered lab batches
  • Testing of produced lab batches, recording of test results and generation of test reports
  • Maintain clean and tidy work area
  • From time to time, other duties as directed by the line manager
