Job Description
FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Utility Surveyor to strengthen their team.
- Location: The role will be remote but will require travel across the UK.

Utility Surveyor role:
- This dynamic role combines independent work and teamwork. You’ll utilise state-of-the-art equipment to collect precise field data for underground utility mapping, drainage surveys, and other advanced surveying projects.
Utility Surveyor responsibilities:
- Lead and support survey projects, ensuring on-time, in-scope delivery.
- Collaborate with Senior Surveyors and Management.
- Produce high-quality survey deliverables adhering to technical guidelines.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform both supervised and unsupervised work, adhering to risk assessments.
- Proactively identify and escalate operational, safety, and commercial risks.
- Adhere to all company procedures, including safe driving practices.
- Maintain quality standards.
Utility Surveyor requirements:
- Qualifications: QCF Level 3 in Utility Mapping/Surveying, HNC/Diploma, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Expertise in PAS128 standards.
- Skills: Proficiency in using surveying equipment (Electromagnetic, Ground Penetrating Radar) and software (AutoCAD, Microsoft Office).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal English skills.
- Attitude: A proactive, problem-solving approach with a willingness to learn.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to undergo regular drug and alcohol testing.
- Flexibility in working hours and good time management.
