Job Description
FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Process Engineer to strengthen their solution department team.
Location: Derby, hybrid working available.

Process Engineer role:
• We are seeking a Process Engineer specialising in high-quality design to minimise project risks, maximise profits, and enhance engineering services projects, with hybrid work options available.
Process Engineer responsibilities:
• Develop process designs, adhering to safety, specifications, and standards.
• Develop process designs, adhering to safety, specifications, and standards.
• Technical considerations relevant to both project execution and the effective management of departmental operations.
• Development of cost-effective process designs that meet specifications and are readily constructible and commissionable.
• Evaluate the design’s impact on time, material, erection costs, and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Assist the Regional Discipline Lead in developing, maintaining, and monitoring departmental procedures.
• Facilitate comprehensive design coordination with internal and external disciplines for optimized project outcomes.
• To ensure strict adherence to all health and safety requirements throughout the design process.
Process Engineer requirements:
Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
• Proven track record of developing process design
• Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic process designs
• Experienced in multidisciplinary process plant schemes.
• Experience of process design in a design-build environment.
Desirable:
• Extensive knowledge of water or wastewater process design.
• Chartered with a relevant professional body.
• Experience in developing mass balance calculations.
• Experience in developing gravity or pressure hydraulic calculations.
