Regional Planning Manager role:
- The organisation is undergoing a period of significant growth and is seeking to strengthen its Programme Team with the appointment of a Planning Manager for the Thames region
- This role will be primarily responsible for leading, mentoring, and inspiring the Planning Team, while acting as the technical expert who enhances the team’s skillset and sets the standard by creating high-quality project programmes
Regional Planning Manager responsibilities:
- Directly supporting Project Managers and project teams across the organisation by developing high-quality programmes that facilitate efficient and successful project delivery
- Developing detailed Primavera P6 programmes tailored to project requirements, while also creating P6 templates designed to meet client expectations
- Creating and maintaining project plans using robust project management methodologies, ensuring accurate and assured baseline scheduling
- Managing the planning team, including balancing workloads, providing mentorship, and supporting the professional development of team members
- Providing technical expertise to the team in Primavera P6, MS Project and related project planning activities
- Produce project, programme, and framework-level reports to improve the information and insights available for business planning, utilising Power BI and related software
- Oversee the connection between the regional planning team and the organisation’s Head of Planning
Regional Planning Manager requirements:
- Extensive Project Planning experience
- Technical capabilities using Primavera P6 and MS Project
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to monitor and control project deviations
- Experience using Power BI and/or similar project reporting software
- Academic qualifications in a construction or infrastructure related subject
- Infrastructure and/or water industry experience
- Personnel line management experience
- Project management and project delivery experience
- Experience in a consultancy or a client facing environment
