Job Description

Campaign Data Analyst

Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the utilities sector for the position of Non-Revenue Campaign Data Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in identifying and addressing unaccounted-for water through data investigation and field coordination.

Role Overview

A significant portion of apparent water loss—often referred to as leakage—may actually be water that is being used (legally or illegally) but is not being properly recorded. This may be due to broken meters, unmetered commercial use, illegal connections, or data inaccuracies related to district metered areas (DMAs).
As a Non-Revenue Campaign Data Analyst, your responsibility will be to analyse, investigate, and help resolve these discrepancies, ensuring more accurate water usage accounting and supporting the efficiency of field operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse DMA data to detect actual or potential unaccounted-for water (UFW) or data anomalies.
  • Investigate UFW issues raised by other internal teams and workstreams.
  • Plan and deploy field resources for targeted investigations.
  • Collect and analyse investigation results, preparing action plans.
  • Track resolution activity through to successful completion.
  • Compare system data with DMA/property data using platforms such as Netbase, GIS, CMOS, and C4C/ISU.
  • Identify causes of UFW, whether leakage, consumption discrepancies, or data integrity issues.
  • Coordinate technician investigations and monitor findings.
  • Prepare clear, professional reports to communicate findings and recommended actions.
  • Produce weekly internal and client-facing updates.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, data manipulation, graphing).
  • Working knowledge of Power BI or Power Query (preferred).
  • Familiarity with water networks and DMA operations.
  • Health and Safety awareness relevant to utility operations.
