Commissioning Engineer

Finlay Jude Associates are supporting a long term client in recruiting a Commissioning Engineer to strengthen their Engineering team in Oswestry. You will play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery. Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, you’ll oversee all commissioning activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing commissioning activities to ensure compliance with company procedures and industry best practices.
• Reviewing and monitoring MEICA-related project risks.
• Collaborating with design teams to integrate commissioning requirements from the outset.
• Conducting reviews of design deliverables, including P&IDs, control philosophies, and telemetry requirements.
• Overseeing FAT and SAT testing, witnessing process tests, and signing off commissioning activities.
• Developing and implementing commissioning plans in line with project scope and design intent.
• Attending progress and commissioning meetings to provide updates and technical insight.
• Supporting the compilation of training materials, O&M manuals, and handover reports.

What would make a candidate successful:

• Proven electrical commissioning experience.
• Strong site experience within the water and/or water recycling industry.
• A solid understanding of water and/or water recycling processes.
• A valid, clean UK driving license.
