Drainage Supervisor
 
Salary: £38,000 – £43,000 per annum Location: Waltham Abbey
 
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM start
 
About the Role: Finlay Jude Associates are looking for a dedicated and experienced Drainage Supervisor to oversee our client’s daily operations. You will be responsible for managing site teams working on drainage and highways projects, ensuring efficient workflows, quality workmanship, and compliance with safety standards. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership and excellent organisational skills.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate site teams to ensure all tasks are completed safely, on time, and to specification
• Manage daily site activities including drainage installation, highway maintenance, and traffic management support
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and company policies
• Prepare and maintain site documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and daily reports
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects on track
• Monitor resource allocation and equipment usage to maximise efficiency
• Provide leadership, training, and support to team members, fostering a positive working environment

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience as a supervisor within drainage, highways, or civil engineering sectors
• Good knowledge of drainage systems and construction methods (advantageous)
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively
• Well-organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
