Job Description

FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer.
 
Location: Stepps, North Lanarkshire, with hybrid working options.

Electrical Project Engineer role:

  • You will support the Project/Construction Manager in coordinating plant design, procurement strategies, timely information delivery, and providing cost data for forecasts and variations.

Electrical Project Engineer responsibilities:

  • Ensure project costs remain within the tender/varied allowance and that all payment applications are submitted on or before the due date.
  • Ensure contract reviews and monthly forecasts are completed and submitted promptly.
  • Support the Project Management strategy and set up and maintain the contract filing systems.
  • Top of Form
  • Bottom of Form
  • Assist in the production of the contract programme; monitor programme and produce progress reports.
  • Provide data for the timely production of O&M manuals.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site management on design and procurement matters.
  • Help prepare the construction completion and handover documentation.
  • Collaborate with design departments to ensure the timely development of quality solutions and assess innovative solutions and processes.
  • Contribute to risk and opportunity schedules monthly
  • Ensure designs are safe for construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance, and complete the capitalization process.
  • Perform additional duties, training, and/or work hours as reasonably required, consistent with the overall responsibility of the role.

Electrical Project Engineer requirements:

  • Engineering background
  • Working knowledge of various conditions of contract especially NEC
  • Engineering/ qualification (HNC minimum) required
  • Experience of supply chain expedition
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes
  • CDM & Health & Safety knowledge

Desirable

  • Relevant professional qualification an advantage
  • Collaborative approach
