FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Human Factors Consultant to strengthen their team.
 
Location: Cumbria/Warrington – flexible on location.

Human Factors Consultant responsibilities:

• As a Human Factors Consultant, you will deliver results on multiple Human Factors projects with a variety of clients, whilst developing strong, long-lasting partnerships. 
• You will lead the planning and execution of extensive, technical, and complex Human Factors assessments, ensuring they are both proportionate and fit for purpose.
• Your development will be supported through comprehensive training and mentoring from team members, alongside providing guidance in critical technical domains.
• You will be responsible for supporting the design and case/safety report assessments.
• Operational claim identification and substantiation
• HF design support
• HF project integration management
• HF support on safety assessment
• Human error identification
• Application of HF methods
• Resolution of operational issues
• Derivation and management of requirements
• HF verification and validation
• Application of a modern standard HF techniques and relevant good practice

Human Factors Consultant requirements:

• Significant experience in providing Human Factors support for nuclear or other high-hazard projects.
• A degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or Industrial Design.
• Pursuing chartership with the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors.
• Excellent technical report writing skills
• Understanding and application of UK regulations and standards
• Knowledge of regulatory regimes
• Willing to travel to/ and work on clients’ sites
