Job Description

FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Leakage Technician to strengthen their existing team.
 
Location: North West of Northern Ireland

Leakage Technician role:

  • Identifying and locating water leaks, quantifying water losses, and recommending repairs to improve water network efficiency
  • Utilise equipment and techniques to pinpoint leak locations, assess the extent of water loss, and provide recommendations for addressing issues

 
Leakage Technician responsibilities:

  • Investigate water network for leaks and unaccounted consumption
  • Use equipment to locate leaks and promote repairs on public and private land
  • Assist maintenance teams when needed
  • Conduct step testing and pressure zero testing of the water network
  • Provide detailed reporting using data collection apps
  • Flexible hours, including night shifts

Leakage Technician requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (required)
  • Water network experience (required)
  • Competent technician with experience in correlation, ground mic, quantification, and step testing
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in utility tracing, noise logging, and asset surveying
  • Capable of lifting heavy inspection covers
  • EUSR water hygiene card – desired
  • EUSR DOMS card – desired
  • NRSWA Unit 2 accreditation – desired
