FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading national contractor for a Noise Logging Technician.

Noise Logging Technician role:

  • The role involves deploying and retrieving loggers (small metal listening devices) within a District Metered Area (DMA) for water utility companies.
  • The daily responsibilities include deploying loggers on the client’s infrastructure, typically on fire hydrants and valves, with an average of 80-100 loggers deployed per day.
  • The loggers must be retrieved 24 hours later and downloaded to analyse the captured data. This process is repeated regularly, as the loggers record continuous leakage noise between the optimal times of 2:00 – 4:00 AM, with the noise level measured in decibels.
  • This is a manual role that may require lifting, stretching, and bending.

 
Noise Logging Technician requirements:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A full UK manual driving licence as a vehicle and fuel card will be provided for work purposes.
  • This role would be ideal for a Driver, Van Driver, Multidrop Driver, Meter Reader, Noise Logging Technician, Field Technician, Labourer, Warehouse Operative, or anyone with a background in manual work or outdoor jobs seeking a career change.
