Job Description

FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Process Engineer to strengthen the engineering team.
 
Location: Derbyshire, hybrid working available.

Process Engineer role:

  • Reporting directly to the Regional Discipline Lead, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering designs that minimize project risks and maximize profitability for the company’s turnkey and engineering services projects.

Process Engineer responsibilities:

  • Co-ordination and production of process design documents and drawings. These should consider all relevant health & safety requirements, specifications and standards.
  • Technical aspects of project delivery and for specific departmental management functions and initiatives.
  • Consider the impact of design decisions on design time, material costs, erection costs, and the work of other disciplines.
  • Assisting the Regional Discipline Lead to write, update and monitor efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of the department.
  • Coordinate with the design with both internal and external disciplines to maximise project benefits.
  • Assist the management team in fostering a culture where customer satisfaction is prioritised.
  • Ensure that all health and safety requirements are fully considered in the design process.

Process Engineer requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in developing cost-effective process designs.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary process plant projects and process design within a design-build environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of either water or wastewater process design (desirable).
  • Chartered Engineer (desirable).
  • Experience in developing mass balance calculations (desirable).
  • Experience in developing gravity or pressure hydraulic calculations (desirable).
