Job Description

FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Project Manager.
 
Location: Rickmansworth, hybrid working available.

Project Manager role:

  • This hybrid role focuses on delivering projects efficiently, on time and within budget, meeting specifications, and prioritising safety and customer satisfaction.

Project Manager responsibilities:

  • Ensure the BMS is implemented throughout the entire project lifecycle, from tender handover to final completion.
  • Assign appropriately trained personnel to the project and ensure they understand their responsibilities.
  • Plan, monitor, and control project delivery, including reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
  • Manage all project commercial aspects, providing accurate and timely forecasts and estimates.
  • Maintain professional development through industry engagement and perform other reasonable duties as required and commensurate with the role.
  • Implement and adhere to quality, safety, and environmental policies and targets.

Project Manager requirements:
 
Essential:

  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally in the water industry, including risk and opportunity management.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as construction, commerce, or engineering.
  • Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
  • Strategic, operational, technical and management skills.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, particularly NEC and/or IChemE, including negotiation and administration skills.
  • Working knowledge of CDM regulations and construction health and safety practices.

Desirable:

  • Chartered status with a relevant engineering, commercial, or construction institution.
  • NEC Project Manager Accreditation.
