Project Manager role:
 

• You will report directly to the Integrated Programme Lead and be responsible for managing the design, construction, commissioning, and delivery of contracts
• Your key objective will be to ensure all projects are completed efficiently, in line with specifications, on schedule, and within budget
• You will also be accountable for maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and ensuring strong customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle

 
Project Manager responsibilities:

• Ensure the Business Management System (BMS) is implemented at every stage of project delivery, from tender handover through to final completion
• Protect and enhance the company’s reputation by maintaining positive working relationships with joint venture partners and suppliers
• Ensure sufficient trained personnel are assigned to each project and that they fully understand their individual responsibilities
• Plan projects effectively, including reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan (PEP), and continuously monitor and control project delivery
• Oversee the preparation and approval of detailed construction plans and method statements prior to the start of site activities
• Ensure that, upon contract completion, all records outlined in the PEP are finalised and available
• Report all site non-conformities promptly and identify associated costs
• Manage all commercial aspects of each project proactively, providing accurate forecasts and cost estimates
• Demonstrate detailed working knowledge and practical experience of project management processes from concept through to end-user acceptance
• Maintain continuous professional development by engaging with external networks, conferences, and professional associations to stay informed on industry developments and innovations
• Undertake any other reasonable duties, training, or hours of work required, consistent with the role’s level of responsibility
• Understand and apply the company’s quality, safety, and environmental policies and objectives
• Strive to meet and exceed customer expectations, enhancing their overall satisfaction and perception of the company
• Maintain a strong practical understanding of all technical disciplines involved in the delivery of water and wastewater design and build projects

Project Manager requirements:

• Project Management experience in managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally within the water industry
• Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction, commercial, or engineering related discipline
• Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent
• Experience in project delivery
• Strategic, operational, technical and management skills
• Knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE, with ability to negotiate and administer
• Risk & Opportunity Management experience
• Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety
