Job Description
FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the wastewater industry for an experienced Project Manager to strengthen their team

Project Manager role:
- You will report directly to the Integrated Programme Lead and be responsible for managing the design, construction, commissioning, and delivery of contracts
- Your key objective will be to ensure all projects are completed efficiently, in line with specifications, on schedule, and within budget
- You will also be accountable for maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and ensuring strong customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
Project Manager responsibilities:
- Ensure the Business Management System (BMS) is implemented at every stage of project delivery, from tender handover through to final completion
- Protect and enhance the company’s reputation by maintaining positive working relationships with joint venture partners and suppliers
- Ensure sufficient trained personnel are assigned to each project and that they fully understand their individual responsibilities
- Plan projects effectively, including reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan (PEP), and continuously monitor and control project delivery
- Oversee the preparation and approval of detailed construction plans and method statements prior to the start of site activities
- Ensure that, upon contract completion, all records outlined in the PEP are finalised and available
- Report all site non-conformities promptly and identify associated costs
- Manage all commercial aspects of each project proactively, providing accurate forecasts and cost estimates
- Demonstrate detailed working knowledge and practical experience of project management processes from concept through to end-user acceptance
- Maintain continuous professional development by engaging with external networks, conferences, and professional associations to stay informed on industry developments and innovations
- Undertake any other reasonable duties, training, or hours of work required, consistent with the role’s level of responsibility
- Understand and apply the company’s quality, safety, and environmental policies and objectives
- Strive to meet and exceed customer expectations, enhancing their overall satisfaction and perception of the company
- Maintain a strong practical understanding of all technical disciplines involved in the delivery of water and wastewater design and build projects
Project Manager requirements:
- Project Management experience in managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally within the water industry
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction, commercial, or engineering related discipline
- Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent
- Experience in project delivery
- Strategic, operational, technical and management skills
- Knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE, with ability to negotiate and administer
- Risk & Opportunity Management experience
- Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety
