Technical Director – Ecology responsibilities:

• Offering strategic leadership and management to the Scottish Ecology team by applying deep knowledge of markets, client engagement, and policy frameworks.
• Working collaboratively within the GB Senior Ecology Management Team to promote an inclusive and agile business alongside senior leadership colleagues.
• Accelerate business growth by strengthening existing client relationships and supporting entry into new markets.
• Execute tasks following internal procedures, legal regulations, and industry standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development to maintain up-to-date discipline knowledge and awareness.
• Mentoring junior staff to enhance skills, build experience, and progress their careers.

Technical Director – Ecology requirements:

• Effective leader with strong team motivation, excellent communication, and client-focused relationship skills.
• Project management expertise across all project and programme phases, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, with experience in leading, coaching, and training project managers.
• Demonstrated technical excellence in delivering large-scale projects that enhance biodiversity, aligned with client goals and relevant policies.
• At least 10 years consultancy experience in the uk market, preferably in Scotland 
• Master’s degree in relevant field 
• Full membership of chartered institute of ecology and environmental management (cieem) and have or be eligible for chartership.
