Trainee Field Technician – Water Industry
Location: North London
Hours: 40 hours per week (Day shifts)
Contract: Temporary to permanent

Our client is recruiting Trainee Field Technicians to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering essential water services across North London. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals who enjoy hands-on, outdoor work and want to develop specialist technical skills.
The Role
As a Trainee Field Technician, you will be trained to locate and identify leaks within underground water networks. Working as part of an experienced team, you’ll play a vital role in protecting water resources and supporting network efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with detailed surveys to identify the type and location of water leaks
- Support repair teams by providing accurate leak detection services
- Assist with survey and project work beyond day-to-day leak detection
- Complete all required paperwork accurately, including timesheets, survey forms, and leak reports
- Upload data using a laptop (basic computer skills required)
- Drive to sites as required (full, clean driving licence essential)
Full training will be provided, including:
- EUSR Water Hygiene Training
- Unit 2 Street Works Certification
No prior experience in the water industry is required—just the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Additional Information
- This role is subject to compulsory drug and alcohol testing
