Quality Advisor – United Utilities Region
 
Finlay Jude Associates are supporting a key client in the water and construction sector in their search for a Quality Advisor to join their SHEQ team. This role will provide dedicated on-site quality support across construction projects within the United Utilities region, reporting to the Senior Quality Advisor.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a pivotal role in driving quality standards, continuous improvement, and compliance across a busy project environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and deliver the internal quality audit programme in collaboration with the Regional Quality Lead
  • Support project teams to ensure quality documentation is completed, controlled, and retained in line with company, legal, and client requirements
  • Monitor and support on-site installation standards to ensure compliance with required specifications
  • Assist in the maintenance and development of the Integrated Management System (IMS), promoting a Lean approach across the business
  • Conduct quality investigations and root cause analysis, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Support the SHEQ team in developing and delivering quality communications and training, including classroom sessions
  • Promote and embed internal quality systems and best practice across all areas of the business
  • Provide practical advice and support on quality matters to operational teams
  • Champion a positive quality culture and continuous improvement mindset
  • Maintain ongoing professional development through external networking and industry engagement
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role

Essential

  • Previous experience in a Quality Advisor or similar quality-focused role
  • Construction delivery background
  • Internal QMS Auditor qualification (IRQA)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the United Utilities region

Desirable

  • Experience within the water or wastewater sector
  • EUSR SHEA Water card
  • PCQI membership
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification
