Finlay Jude Recruitment (FJR) is recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the utilities sector for Trainee Smart Meter Technicians.
No prior experience is necessary – full training, equipment, and a company vehicle will be provided.
The Role:
As a Trainee Smart Meter Technician, you will play a key role in supporting smart water meter installations and water network surveys. You will work independently across the local area, use provided technology to upload data, and represent the company professionally.

Trainee Smart Meter Technician Responsibilities:
- Install and exchange smart water meters at customer properties
- Undertake water network surveys and installations
- Upload data using provided tablet and software
- Work independently across the local area
- Represent the company in a professional manner
- Adhere to health and safety procedures and company standards
Trainee Smart Meter Technician requirements:
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good time keeping, reliable and hard working
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all conditions
- A Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Excellent customer service skills
