The clocks have sprung forward, and after a heavy winter and battling some pretty rubbish weather, I think we are all ready for the Spring.

And something most people do at this time of year is Spring clean their homes, but why not spring clean your career.

Change is not something most people are comfortable with, but embracing new opportunities is essential in staying relevant in today’s fast paced working environment, and not being comfortable with change should not be a reason to stay in a job you may dislike.

Spring cleaning your CV is where you would start.

Taking the time to update your CV gives you the opportunity to add any courses you may have completed and identify any skill gaps you may have.

It also helps you to establish where you may be at in your own mind too.

Consider the pros and cons of your current role:

Do you dislike your commute?

Are you feeling demotivated?

Is your current role offering any career progression?

All makeovers take time, so if a spring clean of your career is something you are considering, write a list and aim to complete your goals steadily.
