New Year – New Opportunities

So it is that time of year again, the New Year’s resolutions are being made, Dry January, Veganuary, get fit etc.

However, for some it may be to get a New Job or a whole new career.

32% of all Brits hope to find a new job in January and finding the right role can sometimes take some time.

Whether you are looking to reenter the workforce, or leave your current position, the excitement of a new career or job opportunity can sometimes be clouded by the task of job searching.

Some tips that Finlay Jude recommend staying positive during your search are:

  • Remember good things take time
  • Stay up to date with your Industry and what’s happening
  • Remember you are not alone
  • The idea of sifting through job boards, perfecting your CV and waiting for the phone to ring can be quite daunting, so why not take away that hassle and sign up with a recruiter.

Recruiters can save you time, use larger networking tools, help you with your CV and how to become appealing to employers, help you through the processes and have access to job/career opportunities.

Finlay Jude have placed many candidates in new careers within the Water Industry, starting off as Trainee Leakage Technicians & Noise Loggers to become fully qualified Leakage Technicians. Sometimes by registering with Recruitment Agencies, it can open doors you didn’t even know were there!!

The months of January and February are typically the strongest hiring period, with companies starting new projects, additional staff are usually needed.

So, start 2024 as you mean to go on, be proactive and grab those new opportunities.

Happy New Year and Good Luck.
